The Reverend Stuart served Walford parish from 2001 to 2004.
One of his earliest appearances was talking to devout Christian Dot Cotton in December 2001, when she returned from seeing close friend Nigel Bates in Scotland. He then presided over Dot's plans and the service for her wedding to Jim Branning.
He then conducted Angie Watts', Jamie Mitchell's and Roy Evans' funerals in 2003. This year he also appeared at Dot's bingo night at The Vic, to try and comfort Dot after she was mugged, and to marry Andy Hunter and Kat Slater, before Alfie Moon stopped the wedding.
In April 2004 he returned for Mark Fowler's funeral. He later appeared when Dot and Pauline Fowler were trying to organise Martin and Sonia's wedding, much to the couple's irritation, and then for their secret wedding with just Jim and another witness present.
His last appearance was for war hero Jack's funeral.
