Summary
Tiffany Raymond first arrived in Walford as a school friend of Bianca Jackson and Natalie Price. Tiffany and Bianca were the best of mates and supported each other through some turbulent times. Tiffany's father Terry Raymond was an abusive alcoholic, whilst her mother had just abandoned Tiffany and Simon when they were just little.
Tiffany soon got a job working as a barmaid in the Queen Vic working as a barmaid which is where she met her future husband Grant Mitchell. They bonded over drinks one night, ended up in bed together, but the next day realised they wouldn't be right for each other and ended their brief fling.
Tiffany then fell for Tony Hills and moved in with him. All went well until Tiffany found out she was pregnant. She tried to pretend to Tony that the baby was his even although she knew there was a chance that Grant was the father and when Grant questioned her that he could be the daddy, she convinced him he wasn't. When Tiffany found out that Tony was bi-sexual she ran back to Grant and told him that the baby was his. It was at this point that Grant whisked Tiffany away to Paris for a quick wedding.
During Tiffany's pregnancy, Grant would be extremely over-protective and would refuse to let Tiffany drink and go out with her friends. If Tiffany dared to go against Grant's wishes there would be trouble and he would often turn violent, nearly attacking her.
When Courtney was born in 1997, a paternity test was sought which proved that Grant was the father. However her relationship with Grant was still very turbulent and very rocky with Grant only really allowing them to stay at the Vic to keep Courtney within easy reach. By 1997 they were rowing constantly and the rows often turned violent. On one occasion Grant hit his mother Peggy after she stepped in to stop him hitting Tiffany. Following this, Grant moved to Cyprus for a while to sort himself out.
On his return, he attempted a reconciliation with Tiffany although she wasn't interested as she had now fallen in love with Beppe di Marco. Grant decided to get revenge on Tiffany for this by sleeping with her mother Louise Simmonds. Grant and Louise split up when Tiffany decided that she wanted to be with Grant after all, however Tiffany was to later hear Grant and Louise discuss their affair via a baby monitor. Tiffany decided to pack her bags, but in her haste to leave she fell down the stairs in The Vic and ended up being hospitalised. Tiffany was released from hospital on New Years Eve and made a second attempt to leave Albert Square. She returned to Albert Square to tie up some loose ends, however upon discovering that Tiffany was about to leave with his daughter, Grant snatched Courtney from The Vic and made off with her across the Square. Tiffany pursued them across the Square which resulted in her running into the path of a car being driven by Frank Butcher.
She died at the scene.
