Summary
DS Rich was first seen investigating Reg Cox's murder, and later arrested Nick Cotton for the crime.
He returned in 1987 to investigate the case of the "Walford attacker". Debbie Wilkins warded him off with her self-defense skills and he was arrested. Rich was impressed by Debbie and they began dating. He asked Debbie to marry him and she accepted, and when Rich was transferred to another station, she decided to leave Walford and go with him.
