Summary
Sanjay owned a clothing stall on the Bridge Street Market which he worked with wife Gita. He was initially good friends with Tricky Dicky, and knew something of his past. Sanjay was usually looking to make a fast buck, legality not an issue, & this often had repercussions on his marriage (as well as nearly losing Michael Rose his job as market inspector). In addition Sanjay had a brief affair with Meena McKenzie, his wife's sister.
After an extended absence (in India) Sanjay returned to Walford with his mother in tow, thus creating even more stresses in the marriage. In later years Sanjay had fertility problems and underwent IVF treatment with Gita. Sanjay left Walford at Gita's request to avoid teasing to Sharmilla and Arjun.
