Storylines
Ronnie and her younger sister Roxy arrived in Walford for their cousin Phil's wedding to Stella Crawford. They decided to stay in Walford to look after the family pub, The Queen Vic, while the rest of the family went on holiday. Ronnie went into a secret partnership with Jack Branning to buy local club Scarlet, and reopen it with Roxy, naming it R&R. Ronnie and Jack soon got together, but Jack slept with his ex-wife, Selina, and Ronnie ended things between them. Jack had a one-night-stand with Roxy and she fell pregnant with his baby.
Ronnie's manipulative father Archie re-entered her life after fifteen years in July 2008, and told her that Amy, the daughter he forced her to give up for adoption when she was fourteen, had died as a toddler. Archie and Peggy got engaged, and Ronnie tried to make them see how nasty he was. Failing this, she fled to Ibiza to grieve for her daughter. Upon her return, Roxy gave birth to a daughter, who she named Amy, after Ronnie's daughter, but blurted out her secret about Jack during labour. Ronnie cut all ties with her sister.
Meanwhile, she had employed Walford newcomer Danielle Jones at the club, and helped Danielle get an abortion when she fell pregnant. When Danielle started to remind her of the child she lost, she distanced herself from her and reconciled with Roxy and Archie. At Archie and Peggy's wedding reception, Danielle revealed that she was Ronnie's daughter, and that Archie had been lying about her death. Ronnie refused to believe her and threw her out. After Danielle left, Ronnie found the locket she gave Danielle as a baby, and went after her. She caught up with her and called out to her, and as Danielle made towards her mother, she ran into the path of Janine Butcher's car, and died in Ronnie's arms. She was banned from the funeral by Danielle's adoptive father, Andy, who blamed her for Danielle's death. At Danielle's funeral. He did not allow Ronnie to attend but made amends by telling her about Danielle's childhood. He gave Ronnie Danielle's childhood teddy bear named Digby. At first she declined, knowing Danielle meant so much to him than her, but later accepted for the sake of Danielle.
Ronnie got drunk and turned up late to baby Amy's christening, and saw Jack and Roxy kiss. She smashed up the reception and made her way to the airport, persued by Jack. As she was about to board her flight, Jack declared his love for her over the airport tannoy. They moved in together, but Ronnie wanted a baby amd Jack didn't, so she started piercing holes in their condoms in an attempt to get pregnant. On the day Jack proposed and Ronnie accpeted, he caught her piercing a condom. He realised that it wasn't the first time, and stormed out, and when he got back Ronnie had once again fled the country.
When she returned she had a brief fling with Ryan Malloy, and in revenge a jealous Janine stole her address book and contacted Danielle's biological father, Joel Reynolds. Married with three daughters, this didn't stop Joel from reigniting his teenage relationship with Ronnie, and he left his family and moved into The Vic with her.
