Summary
Rod spent a long time in Albert Square, originally introduced as a rather unsavory punk layabout. During his relationship with Mary Smith, we discovered he was actually quite a nice guy who was instrumental in helping Mary get custody of baby Annie. After Mary left Walford, Rod became involved with Donna Ludlow despite her heroin addiction. He stood by her through many attempts to clean up and only her OD ended things between them. After a relationship with Hazel ended, he left Albert Square to go on a hippy trail.
