Summary
A criminal defence lawyer who knew Johnny Allen from years past, Richie first appeared in the run up to Phil Mitchell's trial for an armed robbery for which he was set up by Den Watts and Dennis Rickman. She greeted Ruby Allen (who was living with the Mitchells), saying that she hadn't seen her for years, and advised Peggy about Phil's trial.
She appeared less than a month later, advising Phil about his sister Sam's arrest for her involvement in the murder of Den Watts. Richie later appeared to advise Phil on his battle with Ian Beale for custody of his son, Ben.
In January 2007, Phil sent Richie to Sonia Fowler's aid when she was wrongfully arrested for Pauline's murder. She next appeared in January 2008 when Jack Branning recorded evidence that Phil had supplied Kevin Wicks with stolen cut-and-shut cars, including the one that Kevin was driving when he crashed and was killed. She reappeared in September 2009 when Sam Mitchell returned to Walford from Brazil after going on the run from the police. Her next appearances were in June and July 2010 when Ben was convicted of attacking Jordan Johnson with a spanner. She returned in 2011 when Phil was arrested for his part in Kevin's death.
Stella Crawford was introduced in September 2006 as one of the lawyers working at Richie's firm, though the two never shared any scenes. Jimmie Broome also works for Richie's firm.
