Summary
Amira Shah's father, first seen when she visited him in prison, where he was locked up for fraud. He was angry when Amira told him she was marrying her boyfriend Syed Masood, and refused to give his blessing, so Amira stole money for the wedding from his safety deposit box. He got out of prison on a legal loophole and interrupted Syed and Amira's Mehndi celebration. The next day, Syed told Qadim that he and Amira stole the money, but Amira took the full blame, refusing to go with her father when he left. At her wedding, Qadim softened and agreed to pay for the day and give the marriage his blessing.
Qadim returned in April 2010 for Syed and Amira's flatwarming party. At the party, Syed revealed that he was gay and had been seeing Christian Clarke. Qadim attacked Syed and took Amira away from the Square, returning two days later with some heavies to beat up Christian and leave him for dead.
Qadim was next seen in September 2011 when Yusef Khan tracked him down on Syed and Zainab's behalf, to ask Amira for a divorce.
