Summary
Ambitious journalist Polly Becker first appeared in Walford when Ted Hills beat up Robbie Jackson. Tony got a job at the Walford Gazette, working as Polly's protégé (while he was living with Simon Raymond), and the two of them inevitably ended up in bed. Polly left Walford under a cloud when she exposed Sanjay and Gita Kapoor's story, about baby Arjun, to the world (like it really mattered that Gita had had a baby with another man), giving her the national paper job she was always looking for.
