Summary

Owen Turner is the ex-husband of Denise Fox and father of her youngest daughter, Libby. He arrived in Walford looking for his daughter, who he hasn't seen since Denise divorced and left him, due to his alcohol problem.

Denise slept with Owen, and a couple of days later, he hit her, witnessed by Chelsea and Libby. The following week, Owen held Denise hostage in her flat. After Denise's boyfriend Kevin Wicks and Libby noticed Denise's absence, they called the police and Owen was arrested.

His mother Liz visited him in prison on 14 September 2006. Owen went on trial on September 19, 2006, and received a six month sentence, suspended for two years.

Kidnapping Libby

On 26 September 2006, Owen kidnapped Libby and took her to Epping Forest in a car stolen from Kevin Wicks' car lot. He drugged her and phoned Denise, telling her that she wouldn't have to worry about them now. He tried to kill himself and Libby by filling the car with noxious exhaust fumes. Libby broke out of the car, and was sick in the forest. When Denise arrived at the forest and called Libby's name, she called back, and Owen grabbed her and tried to drown her in a stream. She fell unconscious, and Owen jumped into the stream himself. Denise arrived to see Libby's unconscious body on the bank of the stream. Owen was revived by paramedics and arrested.

Return From Jail

When Libby turned 18 Owen sent her a card from prison, also Owen's mother(Liz Turner), Libby's grandmother tells libby that it's been 3 years since his arrest and Owen is now Sober and wants to see her, also that Owen will be released soon.

On 12th October 2009, he is released from jail and does some decorating for Jim and Dot. Patrick Trueman realises he is staying with them and threatens to call the police as he has a restraining order stating he can't live in the square. After a talk with Jim, Patrick has a change of heart and invites Libby over from Oxford(where she is studying) to see Owen and have dinner with the rest of the family where things all goes smoothly until Lucas feels Owen hasn't changed and takes a dislike to him.

Feud With Lucas

After the family meal Lucas and Owen have a fight and Lucas ends up punching Owen in the side of his chest, Owen retaliates and says something like "I know you are not who Denise really thinks he is." Liz finds out about the attack and asks Owen to tell Denise. Owen does so while Denis and Lucas are having a drink in The Vic and Lucas is forced to apologise infront of everone. Afterwards Lucas goes to where Owen lives with a Knife and cuts his own hand, tells Owen to leave Walford and they shake hands so that Owen gets blood on his hands. He doesn't leave and because Owen is getting friendlier with Denise, Lucas calls the police and Owen gets arrested, sadly for lucas, Owen is released on appeal.

Owen's Death

Owen starts getting suspicious about how Trina died and is convinced Lucas did it and even confronts Lucas about it. On the day of his wedding to Denise in Nobvember 2009, Lucas ends up strangling Owen with his bow tie in Phil Mitchell's car. He then buries Owen under Trina's memorial tree in the middle of the Square.
