Summary
Charlie Slater emigrated to Madeira with girlfriend Brenda Boyle, only to return to Walford weeks later with Russian Orlenda in tow. He had met her at the airport on his way home, and she conned him, telling him that she had lost her passport and needed money. Mo Harris was instantly suspicious of Orlenda after seeing Charlie give her money, and rifled through her belongings and spied on her in the market. She eventually saw Orlenda with her boyfriend and told Charlie, giving Orlenda's game away. Charlie pretended that her knew about Orlenda's boyfriend, but later confronted Orlenda, who admitted that she was scamming him, but as he was a nice man, she helped him preserve his pride by giving him money in front of Mo, saying that it was the money she loaned her. She then left Walford in a cab with her boyfriend.
