Summary
Father to Mickey Miller and Dawn Swann, Mike deserted his family when the children were young (3 and 6, respectively). After Dawn tracked him down and stayed with him in France, he was surprised to find himself getting reacquainted with his son, Mickey, whom Dawn invited to stay with them.
After nearly conning Minty out of his life savings on the heels of this tumultuous reunion, Mike felt a pang of regret, returned the money, and rode off into the sunset, looking for his next con. He turned up again in Walford, penniless, to visit his sick mother in hospital. In the meantime, he has ingratiated himself with the Millers, save for layabout Keith, and has happened upon the Miller children's stash of money, which he has secretly appropriated.
He obtained the job as manager at Scarlet and almost had Rosie convinced to leave Keith, until he backpedalled about taking the twins and Aleesha along. Rejected, he angrily sped off in his car, leaving a distraught Dawn in his wake. He returned to Walford concerned for his mother's health, only to find her wake being held at the Millers' house. Much to Keith's chagrin, Mike stayed there, until his scheme to steal Rosie's inheritance from his mother went awry. Rosie found out about it, and offered him the money as a bribe to stay away forever. He accepted it, the rat, and took off for bigger and better things.
