Summary
Originally hired as nanny for Ian's three children, Laura eventually won Ian's heart as well through sheer persistence and patience. Although the relationship withstood financial difficulties and a lecherous landlord, Laura's overwhelming desire for a child ended their marriage, when she became pregnant. As Ian had had a secret vasectomy, he was positive that baby Bobby was Garry Hobbs' son. Bobby's blood type proved he really was Ian's - too late for Laura, though, as she died in April 2004, after falling down her stairs.
Janine Evans was initially remanded in custody for Laura's death, but was later rightfully acquitted when it came to trial.
