Summary
Kate was introduced during Jamie Mitchell's death. Apparently at the hospital for her own family crisis, she gave Phil strength and a friendly shoulder. Too bad for Phil: Kate was really a police woman, trying to nail Phil for Lisa Fowler's murder! Although they split for a time, when Phil discovered her life was threatened by Jack Dalton, he saved her. She in turn quit the police, had George Peters arrested and moved into the Mitchells' house (while Peggy was conveniently out of town).
Although they briefly married, Phil's return to his life of crime and secrecy ended the marriage. She stayed in Walford, running SophistiKate's salon and secretly having an affair with Den Watts who was married to her business partner Chrissie. Kate eventually left Walford to rejoin the force.
