Summary
Schizophrenic Joe was Lorraine and David's son. He originally lived in Bolton with his mum until his sister Karen died, at which point he started going doo-lally and searched for his father and lived with him for a time. Committed to an institution, medication stabilised him & he & Sarah Hills became engaged. This was ended when he became attracted to Mary Flaherty & couldn't handle the complexities. Since Mum Lorraine was returning to Bolton, he went with her but has supposedly reconciled with Sarah in the years since!
