Summary
DCI Marsden first appeared in March 2001, investigating Phil Mitchell's shooting. She reappeared throughout 2002 and 2003 and became a police nemesis for Phil, as well as helping Little Mo through Trevor Morgan's rape trial. Marsden, Dominic Price and Kate Morton set up a honey trap operation to implicate Phil in Lisa Fowler's disappearance, but it failed when Kate fell in love with Phil. She also arrested Phil when Den Watts and Dennis Rickman set him up in an armed robbery.
She reappeared in 2009 to investigate Archie Mitchell's murder with her colleague Wayne Hughes. She seemed intent on pinning the murder on Phil, but eventually Bradley Branning was blamed for the crime following his death. She returned when Denise Fox took a letter to her in 2012 which incriminated Phil in a fire at the car lot in 1994.
