Summary
Jeff appeared in the Square when he left his wife Jane, and moved in with his son at the vicarage. Jeff was a trades-union agitator before he retired and remained quite politically oriented. Initially he worked for Rosa di Marco at Giuseppe's (and had a fling with Rosa into the bargain). Later he turned his attentions to Pauline Fowler and foolishly proposed to her in the Vic one night, even though she had turned down his advances in the past. Jeff didn't stay around in the Square after Pauline's rejection and left to work as a caretaker on a housing estate.
