Locum who worked at Dr Legg's surgery, and later became partners with him for a while. His main storyline involved a lukewarm relationship with Naima Jeffery and her cousin Rezaul's opposition to it due to the fact Jaggat was a Sikh and they were Muslims! Of course after Naima married her cousin that story ended and Dr Singh's only duties were to urge Dr Legg to modernize and take it easy. Before leaving to work in an old peoples' home, he persuaded Ethel Skinner to go into sheltered accommodation.
