Summary
Hot-headed Gianni was the younger of the two di Marco brothers and worked as the chef at Giuseppe's restaurant, later becoming manager. There were initially some doubts as to who Gianni's father was - was it Giuseppe or George Palmer? DNA testing proved Gianni to be a true di Marco, but that didn't help rekindle his former relationship with Annie Palmer. Gianni then had a relationship with Jackie Owen and put up with her PMS until she left suddenly.
Things came to a head in Gianni's life when his sister Nicky was assaulted by Rod Morris. He took the law into his own hands and attacked Morris, putting him in hospital. Morris dropped the charges and Gianni left Walford with most of the rest of the family to start a new life with Uncle Franco in Leicester.
