Summary
George was a bit of a shady character. Initially introduced as the owner of the Cobra Club (which became the Market Cellar), he started a relationship with Peggy Mitchell which became an engagement. Peggy was oblivious to George being a villain, but once she found out she broke the engagement off. George then went off to New Zealand to lick his wounds. Upon his return, he decided to resurrect an old relationship with Rosa di Marco, and got engaged to her instead. He was convinced that Gianni di Marco was his son (following a brief fling while Rosa's late husband Giuseppe was in prison), but the blood tests discounted that theory. Yet again, George broke off the relationship and left for New Zealand, turning over control of Giuseppe's restaurant to his former fiancee Rosa.
