Summary
Introduced as Shirley Benson's upstairs neighbour, he was trouble right from the start, playing loud music until all hours and driving Shirley mad. Other charming acts he performed included advertising Shirley's home phone number as a brothel and (possibly) killing Shirley's cat Boots. War quickly erupted between the two (Shirley being assisted by the Ferreira family). Gavin was eventually driven out of his flat and left Walford with his tail between his legs.
