Pregnant runaway Disa helped Diane Butcher to survive when she lived rough on the streets. She left her baby girl in a cardboard box on the Butcher's doorstep. Diane and Mark Fowler searched for Disa and, under protest, brought her back to the B&B where she was befriended by Dot Cotton!
Eventually it came out that Disa's baby was actually the product of abuse by her father Ken and it was Dot Cotton who was instrumental in ensuring Ken was punished and Disa reconciled to her mother.
