Summary
Eighteen-year-old Craig caught young Lucy Beale's eye when her father hired him as temporary cover for the chippy. His initial efforts to sleep with the reluctant 14-year-old were thwarted in the nick of time by Ian and Max Branning.
Rebellious Lucy, however, ran away with Craig to a motel only a couple of weeks later, but soon realised she was in over her head, and tricked him into returning to Walford, where she confessed to police that he had been responsible for the attempted murder of Patrick Trueman. Craig was caught and arrested that afternoon, but not before planting his gun in Lucy's overnight bag – the same gun that would later be used to shoot Lucy's step-mother, Jane.
