Summary
Clare Tyler was the daughter of Debbie and Liam. When Nigel Bates married Debbie she moved in with them, and after mother Debbie's death she was adopted by Nigel, as dad Liam had a history of beating her. She left to live in Scotland with Nigel, his girlfriend Julie Hay, and her boyfriend Josh Saunders (Julie's son), changing her name to her adoptive father's.
Clare returned to the square on 1 February 2008 after being thrown out of moving car into the market. Since her last time in Albert Square Clare changed into a money grabbing young girl and it was clear that she had intentions to worm her way around the men in the Square.
Dot Branning allowed Clare to stay at her house, after knowing her from when she was a child. Clare carried a little black book around with her, which we saw a lot when Tanya Branning gave her a job, after a recommendation from Dot. The book contained details of all the wealthy men in Walford, and the men who she intended to seduce. The first one being Ian Beale and another noteable wealthy man being Max Branning
She left Walford for pastures new (currently unknown) on August 7th 2008 after Bradley Branning exposed her gold digging nature.
