Summary

Cindy married Ian Beale way back in the early '90s, but got bored with him, and had a relationship with Simon Wicks, resulting in Steven Beale. Ian insisted she was pregnant by him when Wicksy refused to marry her, and was heartbroken when she left taking Steven with her.

Ian found her later, living alone and surprisingly took her back into his life. Together they had the twins, but it wasn't enough for Cindy. She had another affair, this time with Simon's brother, David, and she plotted to have Ian murdered. Ian was shot, not fatally, and she ran away from Walford with Peter and Steven.

Ian tracked her down to Italy and reabducted the children back to Britain. The subsequent custody hearing ruled in Cindy's favour, but just as Ian was about to hand over the children, Cindy was arrested for conspiracy to murder and was charged accordingly. Cindy was pregnant with boyfriend Nick Holland's child, and died in childbirth on Bonfire Night 1998. Cindy's baby was also named Cindy in her honour by Ian.
