Summary
Northerner Chris came down to London to track down Mary and Annie. A nice but spineless man, he could never stand up to wife Edie for long, and usually escaped to the road in his lorry. Once he returned Annie to Mary and made friends with Mary's boyfriend Rod Norman, he decided to stay in Walford and temporarily set up in business using the current car lot site as a haulage company. It was Chris Smith who was responsible for bringing the Portakabin to Walford.
