Storylines
Chelsea moved to Walford in May 2006 with her mother Denise and half sister Libby, and began working in the video shop. She had a fling with Grant Mitchell, who was using her to make Jane Collins jealous. After a brief spell waitressing at Fargo's, she then landed a job at Booty as a beauty therapist. She entered a relationship with Sean Slater, but had to deal with him persuing her step-sister Carly Wicks and boss Tanya Branning. Sean eventually dumped Chelsea in favour of Carly.
When Patrick Trueman was attacked in the Minute Mart by Craig Dixon, Chelsea and step-brother Deano framed Sean for it, and he was sent to prison on remand. When Carly discovered the truth, Chelsea and Deano were both imprisoned for perverting the course of justice.
While Denise and Carly were scattering Kevin's ashes abroad, Chelsea traced her long-lost father, Lucas Johnson. After he revealed that she had a half brother, Jordan, Chelsea bought drugs from Sean and became addicted to cocaine. With Patrick and Lucas's help, she managed to kick her addiction.
Chelsea then met Theo Kelly, and they began a relationship. When Chelsea began to feel intellectually inferior to Theo, she cheated on him with local footballer Ellis Prince, who also gave her drugs. She then disappeared for weeks, living the high life with Ellis, only to return on Libby's birthday, revealing that Ellis had nearly been violent to her.
