Storylines
Charlie Slater moved to Walford in September 2000 with his mother-in-law, Mo Harris, daughters Lynne, Kat and Little Mo, granddaughter Zoe and Lynne's boyfriend Garry, following the death of his wife, Viv.
In 2001, it was revealed that Charlie's brother, Harry, had raped Kat when she was fourteen, and made her pregnant. Viv had been aware of Zoe's paternity, but Charlie had not, and they had raised her as their own.
In 2003, Charlie befriended local Graham Foster, who later raped his daughter Little Mo. Charlie assaulted Graham and as a result his cab license was revoked, but later restored.
After his daughters left Walford, Charlie became a father figure to great niece Stacey, who he took in after her bipolar mother Jean threw her out.
In 2008, Mo and Jean created a page for Charlie on a dating website, and started wooing Brenda Boyle on his behalf. When the time cmae for Charlie and Brenda to meet, they confessed to him. Charlie and Brenda began courting, and Charlie emigrated with her to Madeira in 2009.
