Summary
Nomadic character who would return from time to time to make Dot Cotton's life a misery. A bigamist (he had married Dot's half sister, Rose and another woman named Joan Leggett), he drove a truck by profession; deciding to try settling down with Dot, he spent some time working in the haulage company set up in Albert Square (on the site of the current car lot). Charlie died off-screen in 1991. In an extraordinary move, Christopher Hancock reprised his role as Charlie Cotton in October 2000 during the special episode where he appeared to Nick as a ghost.
