We first knew Billy as the abusive and nasty “Uncle” of Jamie Mitchell. Recently Billy has become a more well-rounded character, first as Steve Owen’s barman and drug dealer, later as part-owner and manager of E20 / Angie's Den.

After Mo's return and the subsequent break-up of their marriage, Billy lost his job at the video store and took a room at Pat's. He worked for Johnny Allen for a while, and was promoted to bar manager of Scarlet when Johnny sacked him for allowing Peggy into his office.

Billy recently cut off all ties with Little Mo, upon discovering her unconsummated affair with Alfie. Billy devoted considerable efforts to freeing Samantha and reuniting the Mitchell clan in Walford.

Relationships And Family

He had a romance with Janine Butcher and helped save her from herself and also was revealed as an adult reliving childhood abuse. Billy managed to get Little Mo away from Trevor and all looked rosy with their marriage until Mo got raped and ended up pregnant, billy couldn't handle this and they eventually split up.

Around November 2005 Billy met Honey Edwards and Honey found she was pregnant a few months later in January of 2006, in September of 2006(they day of their wedding), Honey gave birth to a baby girl who they called Janet. It was then revealed that Janet had Down's syndrome and they considered giving their daughter away, even though Billy didn't want her adopted which put their relationship to the test.

Shortly after Honey finds out she is pregnant again and In November 2007 while there is a fight in the Vic, Honey goes into labour and eventually gives birth in hospital to their son who they name William.

Money And Housing Problems

Their landlady Manju Patel evicted Billy and Honey (plus their family) from their flat a month after Honey gave birth to William, leaving them homeless at Christmas. As a result they ended up staying with friends and relatives until the council rehoused them. To get some money Billy stole the charity money and also did various jobs including working on Ian Beale's stall, later he became a driver for Jase Dyer, which ended up to be the wrong thing to do.

Death Of Jase

Billy subsequently helped Jase to steal money from Terry Bates, however, the job was a set up and Terry held Jase's son Jay Brown hostage at the flat. Billy and Jase quickly headed back home and Billy managed to get Jay out of the flat and locked him in the van away from danger. Billy went back to try and help Jase, but hid in the shower from fear crying while Terry's goons beat Jase to death.
