Summary
Rather poisonous mother of Jackie and Steve Owen. She was obsessed with the Royal Family, and seemed to love them even more than her two children. Steve went to visit her in July 2000 and discovered that she was dying from heart disease. Barbara later made it to Steve and Melanie's wedding, and took a shine to Phil Mitchell, going to the point of putting his photograph on the mantelpiece. One of EE's most memorable two-handers was Steve's visit to Barbara the day she died.
