Summary
Aubrey appeared in Albert Square to attend the funeral of former friend and Five Hectors bandmate Cedric, who had recently come back into Patrick Trueman's life. Aubrey played heavily on his personal success and financial good fortune during the years since the band split up.
He was quickly confronted with the news that during the Five Hectors' successful years one of the members had fathered Denise Fox, and although he played along with the story and appeared willing to take a paternity test, it later transpired that he knew there was no chance he was the father.
A night of drunken reminiscing with Patrick led to Aubrey spending the night on the sofa with an equally inebriated Yolande, who couldn't recall the events of the night before. Aubrey played on Yolande's guilt until she found documentation that proved that everything Aubrey had told Patrick since he arrived had been untrue, and so therefore he must be lying about their "night of passion". In spite of this, Aubrey refused to leave the B&B, and continues to insist that Patrick might not believe Yolande's side of the story.
