Summary
One of Walford's original yuppies, Andy lived with his girlfriend Debs in Albert Square, even after they broke up! Living right next door to the Fowlers, they often shared problems such as a leaking water pipe and their roaming cat. Besides being a nurse, Andy was a bit of a do-gooder and taught Mary Smith how to read which backfired on him when she decided she was in love with him!
During a drunken night at the Vic he started an affair with Angie Watts which ended badly when he and Debbie reconciled. They did not walk off into the sunset together though, because soon after Andy was run over while trying to save a child from the path of an oncoming truck, becoming the first in a long line of EastEnders characters to be killed off!
