As an employee of Simpson's Catalogue, Clarke came to the B&B looking for a Ms. Webster, who was actually a scam perpetrated by Paul Trueman. However, Janine Butcher saved Paul's rear by claiming to be the mysterious Ms. Webster, and even charmed Clarke into asking her out!
