Summary
Amira was introduced in May 2009 when her boyfriend Syed Masood's mother Zainab invited her for dinner. Syed's brother Tamwar told her that Syed was not a successful businessman as she believed, and she insulted the family, ended her relationship with Syed and left.
A month later she returned after her father had been arrested for fraud. Syed got her a room in friend Janine Butcher's flat, and she started working at Masala Queen, impressing Zainab when she sang at one of Bushra Abbasi's events.
When Amira revealed that Janine used to be a prostitute at Dawn Swann's birthday party, Janine chucked her out and she moved in with Syd Chambers. She also got a job at Booty.
Amira was shocked when Syed proposed to her, and accepted.
