First introduced as the 'anti-Alistair' in Sarah Hills' young life, Rev. Alex Healy ran the local homeless shelter (Bridge House) much to the disgust of the Square's residents. He never could seem to make the locals happy; after the furore over Bridge House died down, he and Kathy Mitchell became a little too close for the approval of his parishioners. Eventually joined at the vicarage by his father Jeff Healy and sister Mel, Alex's final months on the square were quiet and he eventually departed on a mission to Africa.
